Next year, four concerts will be performed at Rundāle Palace
In 2025, the Orchestra concert series “Sounds of Liepāja at Rundāle Palace” will feature four events – on April 5, August 2, October 25 and December 13. The first one will delight the audience with the masterpieces of Viennese classics.
The Orchestra records Latvian and foreign music
This week, the internationally recognized Latvian composer Lolita Ritmane took the place at the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra conductor's desk in the Liepaja Concert Hall “Lielais dzintars” to record the soundtrack for the US movie.
Rihards Dubra anniversary with his Symphony No.3
On November 30, in honour of the 60th anniversary of the composer Rihards Dubra the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra will premiere his Symphony No.3 in the “Lielais dzintars” Concert Hall. Our special guest will be pianist Vestards Šimkus.
Symphonic New Year's Eve concert in passionate tango rhythms
At the end of 2024, the Liepāja Symphonic New Year's Eve Concert will swirl in passionate tango rhythms together with the world-famous accordionist Ksenija Sidorova, the young and talented violinist Elza Siliņa and the virtuoso dancer Artūrs Nīgalis.
The orchestra presents Gundaris Pone's music album
Shortly before the 144th season opening concert the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra has presented its newest music album “Gundaris Pone. Portraits”, recorded under the direction of conductors Guntis Kuzma and Normunds Šnē.
New works by Šmīdbergs and Dubra in Rundāle Palace
On 28 September at 6PM the Rundāle Palace will once again come alive to the sounds of music – the Orchestra under the direction of the conductor Guntis Kuzma will make a comeback with its brass and percussion ensemble.

At the Star Festival three pianist duos will play in one concert
In March 2025 the Liepāja International Star Festival will shine bright for the 33rd time already, this time it will be held in celebration of Liepāja City 400th anniversary and a special place in this Festival will be dedicated to piano music.

The concert series “Sounds of Liepāja in Rundāle Palace” organized by the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra will take place in three more magnificent events this year.
Brahms, Wagner and Bruckner in one concert in October
On October 26 the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra will play music composed by Johannes Brahms, Richard Wagner and Anton Bruckner. The special guest of the concert will be the Finnish opera singer Miina-Liisa Värelä.
Fiery flamenco at the summer concert of the Orchestra
The Liepāja Symphony Orchestra summer music program with Julian Joseph as a soloist on July 12 in the "Pūt, vējini!" concert garden will be complemented by famous flamenco dancers.
A little night music in Rundāle palace
On 3 August the Orchestra invites to concert in Rundāle Palace, where music composed by Mozart and Beethoven will be played, complemented by music written by the Latvian contemporary composer Arturs Maskats.

On 11 April in the “Symphony CLOSER” concert series the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra invites the audience to discover the Symphony No.3 by Robert Schumann, also known as the Rhenish Symphony.

On 20 April in the “Lielais dzintars” Concert Hall, under the direction of Tadeusz Wojciechowski the Orchestra will play a concert, where the magical sound of the flute will blend with the power of Antonin Dvořák's symphonic music.
The Rundāle Palace will be filled with the sounds of baroque
On 6 April a baroque music programme will be performed at the Rundāle Palace by the string ensemble conducted by Liepāja Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Līga Baltābola and harpsichordist Gertruda Jerjomenko.

From 9 March to 23 March, the 32nd Liepāja International Star Festival will take place in the “Lielais dzintars” Concert Hall, where outstanding domestic artists and international stars will perform.
Ksenija Sidorova in New Year's Eve Symphonic Concert
At the end of 2024, the Liepāja New Year's Eve Symphonic Concert will take the audience on a journey to Argentina. In cooperation with the accordionist Ksenija Sidorova, three holiday concerts will be held this year in Liepāja.
Reinis Zariņš will play Beethoven's Piano Concerto No.4
On 17 February, at the “Lielais dzintars” Concert Hall, Reinis Zariņš accompanied by the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra will play Beethoven's Piano Concerto No.4, which differs from the composer's other piano concertos in its poetic beauty.
With "Rhapsody in Blue" Julian Joseph will return to Liepāja
On July 12, in the concert garden "Pūt, vējiņi!" under the leadership of Guntis Kuzma the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra will performe with the world-famous jazzman Julian Joseph, playing George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue".
Jazz saxophonist John Ruocco will perform at the Star Festival
Also, the American jazz saxophonist and clarinetist John Ruocco will perform at the 32nd Liepāja International Stars Festival, which will take place from March 9 to 23 in the Concert Hall “Lielais dzintars”.
The Star Festival will feature the best oboist in the world
At the 32nd Liepāja International Star Festival, which will take place from 9 March to 23 March, the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra will play in cooperation with one of the most outstanding oboists in the world – Céline Moinet.
At the peak of summer - music by Mārtiņš Brauns
On 24 August in the “Put, vējini!” Concert Garden the Orchestra, together with soloists Renārs Kaupers, Daumants Kalniņš and Ieva Kerēvica, will encounter the legendary Latvian composer Mārtiņš Brauns through music.
143rd season closing together with Margarita Balanas
The Liepāja Symphony Orchestra will close its 143rd concert season on 11 May with a performance featuring the internationally recognized cellist Margarita Balanas in Latvian and German symphonic music programme.
