The Orchestra to Debut at Vilnius National Philharmonic
At the beginning of the new year, the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, together with pianist Kaspars Uinskis, under the direction of conductor Atvars Lakstīgala, will perform in Latvia and Lithuania.
In April oratorios by Jančevskis and Kancheli
On April 12, the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra and the State Academic Choir “Latvija” under the direction of conductor Māris Sirmais will perform Jēkabs Jančevskis’ oratorio “From the Land of the Letts” and Giya Kancheli’s “Styx”.
Next year, four concerts will be performed at Rundāle Palace
In 2025, the Orchestra concert series “Sounds of Liepāja at Rundāle Palace” will feature four events – on April 5, August 2, October 25 and December 13. The first one will delight the audience with the masterpieces of Viennese classics.
The Orchestra records Latvian and foreign music
This week, the internationally recognized Latvian composer Lolita Ritmane took the place at the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra conductor's desk in the Liepaja Concert Hall “Lielais dzintars” to record the soundtrack for the US movie.

On October 26 the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra will play music composed by Johannes Brahms, Richard Wagner and Anton Bruckner. The special guest of the concert will be the Finnish opera singer Miina-Liisa Värelä.
