The Orchestra to Debut at Vilnius National Philharmonic
At the beginning of the new year, the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, together with pianist Kaspars Uinskis, under the direction of conductor Atvars Lakstīgala, will perform in Latvia and Lithuania.
In April oratorios by Jančevskis and Kancheli
On April 12, the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra and the State Academic Choir “Latvija” under the direction of conductor Māris Sirmais will perform Jēkabs Jančevskis’ oratorio “From the Land of the Letts” and Giya Kancheli’s “Styx”.
Next year, four concerts will be performed at Rundāle Palace
In 2025, the Orchestra concert series “Sounds of Liepāja at Rundāle Palace” will feature four events – on April 5, August 2, October 25 and December 13. The first one will delight the audience with the masterpieces of Viennese classics.
The Orchestra records Latvian and foreign music
This week, the internationally recognized Latvian composer Lolita Ritmane took the place at the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra conductor's desk in the Liepaja Concert Hall “Lielais dzintars” to record the soundtrack for the US movie.
Rihards Dubra anniversary with his Symphony No.3
On November 30, in honour of the 60th anniversary of the composer Rihards Dubra the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra will premiere his Symphony No.3 in the “Lielais dzintars” Concert Hall. Our special guest will be pianist Vestards Šimkus.
Symphonic New Year's Eve concert in passionate tango rhythms
At the end of 2024, the Liepāja Symphonic New Year's Eve Concert will swirl in passionate tango rhythms together with the world-famous accordionist Ksenija Sidorova, the young and talented violinist Elza Siliņa and the virtuoso dancer Artūrs Nīgalis.

Shortly before the 144th season opening concert the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra has presented its newest music album “Gundaris Pone. Portraits”, recorded under the direction of conductors Guntis Kuzma and Normunds Šnē.

In March 2025 the Liepāja International Star Festival will shine bright for the 33rd time already, this time it will be held in celebration of Liepāja City 400th anniversary and a special place in this Festival will be dedicated to piano music.

The concert series “Sounds of Liepāja in Rundāle Palace” organized by the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra will take place in three more magnificent events this year.
Brahms, Wagner and Bruckner in one concert in October
On October 26 the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra will play music composed by Johannes Brahms, Richard Wagner and Anton Bruckner. The special guest of the concert will be the Finnish opera singer Miina-Liisa Värelä.
Fiery flamenco at the summer concert of the Orchestra
The Liepāja Symphony Orchestra summer music program with Julian Joseph as a soloist on July 12 in the "Pūt, vējini!" concert garden will be complemented by famous flamenco dancers.
A little night music in Rundāle palace
On 3 August the Orchestra invites to concert in Rundāle Palace, where music composed by Mozart and Beethoven will be played, complemented by music written by the Latvian contemporary composer Arturs Maskats.

On 6 April a baroque music programme will be performed at the Rundāle Palace by the string ensemble conducted by Liepāja Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Līga Baltābola and harpsichordist Gertruda Jerjomenko.

At the 32nd Liepāja International Star Festival, which will take place from 9 March to 23 March, the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra will play in cooperation with one of the most outstanding oboists in the world – Céline Moinet.

On 24 August in the “Put, vējini!” Concert Garden the Orchestra, together with soloists Renārs Kaupers, Daumants Kalniņš and Ieva Kerēvica, will encounter the legendary Latvian composer Mārtiņš Brauns through music.
143rd season closing together with Margarita Balanas
The Liepāja Symphony Orchestra will close its 143rd concert season on 11 May with a performance featuring the internationally recognized cellist Margarita Balanas in Latvian and German symphonic music programme.
