The concert series “Sounds of Liepāja in Rundāle Palace” organized by the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra will take place in three more magnificent events this year.
The Liepāja Symphony Orchestra has been the almost resident orchestra of Rundāle Palace for ten years now – since the orchestra director Uldis Lipskis and Imants Lancmanis, who was the director of Rundāle Palace back then, have signed a cooperation agreement in May 2014, almost 60 concerts have been played in this architectural gem in different lineups.
In early April, the concert of baroque music ensemble “Sonore antiqua” was already played in the White Hall of Rundāle Palace.
The next visit is scheduled for 3 August, when the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra under the direction of the conductor Guntis Kuzma will delight the audience with the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven and Arturs Maskats. On 28 September the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra brass and percussion ensemble will perform in the White Hall of Rundāle Palace, while on 14 December the palace will be filled with sophisticated chamber music performed by the Berči Quartet and clarinetist Egīls Šēfers.
