Liepāja Symphony Orchestra invites you to a concert that will take place in the White Hall of Rundāle Palace, where, under the direction of conductor Guntis Kuzma, they will perform works by Edvard Grieg, Felix Mendelssohn and Heinrich Hübler.
Edvard Grieg’s suite “From the Time of Holberg” reflects the magic of 18th century dance music, enhanced by the age-appropriate White Hall of Rundāle Palace, which once served as a dance hall and has witnessed countless festive occasions. Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No 3, also known as the Scottish Symphony, will captivate the audience with a musical journey through the landscapes and history of Scotland, while Heinrich Hübler’s rarely performed Concerto for 4 Horns and Orchestra will be performed by the Liepāja French Horn Quartet, the only professional French horn quartet in Latvia.
The Concert is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia.
