Piano music concerts are an essential part of the Liepaja International Star Festival, and in the anniversary year listeners will enjoy a solo concert by the outstanding Russian pianist Alexander Melnikov, where he will perform music by French composers: Preludes by Claude Debussy, “Symphonie Fantastique” by Hector Berlioz in a piano adaption by the legendary Hungarian composer and pianist Ferenc Liszt.
Alexander Melnikov has won several competitions and received a number of music awards, including the prestigious “Echo Klassik”, “Gramophone” and many more, he has also been nominated for the Grammy Awards.
