Georgijs OSOKINS – piano
Program:
Frederic CHOPIN
*
The brilliant victory in the prestigious Chopin Competition in Warsaw, concert activities and visual image - all show that the internationally acclaimed pianist Georgy Osokin is in close spiritual proximity with the great Polish genius.
We, too, will have the opportunity to see this in a program dedicated exclusively to Chopin – the dreamy, stormy, masculine, sensual, unknown, guessable.
Program is a sequence of original and captivating compositions of various genres.A nocturne will open the program; it will be followed by mazurkas so loved by composer (genre entwining his creative process); études Op.10 and Op.25 (including the one called Revolutionary) and some elegant waltzes will come next; first part of program will also include the captivating and varied Fantasy and Ballade No. 3 (possibly inspired by some water spirits) in F Minor; the ambitious and regal Polonaise in A Flat Major, Op. 53 will end the program.
