The unique amber sound of the Orchestra has originated in a unique place at the Baltic Sea – in Liepāja.
In the current situation, when people have no possibility to attend cultural events, Liepaja Symphony Orchestra has gathered its online video and audio concert recordings. These are various concerts, including the opera "Saga of Suiti" and a series of concert interviews "Closer" with the orchestra musicians.
In the video gallery of the website you can watch 14 series of the during COVID time made concert interview cycle CLOSER. In less than an hour series, you can get to know the unique personalities of the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra collective. In the program, the orchestra's artists perform in a variety of musical styles, as well as, in a conversation they reveal, what is that excites and inspires these musicians in addition to music (Unfortunately the conversation is available only in Latvian.).
On the Latvian Television website replay.lv there is currently possible to watch a concert dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the legendary Latvian composer Imants Kalniņš (with conductor Māris Sirmais and oboe player Pēteris Endzelis), as well as Latvian original opera „Saga of Suiti” (composer Rihards Dubra) premiered in the Liepāja Concert Hall "Great Amber".
