The unique amber sound of the Orchestra has originated in a unique place at the Baltic Sea – in Liepāja.

Eva Bindere will play the first Latvian Violin Concerto

On 7 September at 5 p.m. in the White Hall of Rundāle Palace, Liepāja Symphony Orchestra under conductor Andris Vecumnieks will perform with a laureate of The Great Music Award – violinist Eva Bindere.

“After this musically wonderful summer we would like to offer our audience if not a true summer then definitely a beautiful Indian summer night to indulge in music at Rundāle Palace”, says the manager of Liepāja Symphony Orchestra Uldis Lipskis.

The audience will be able to enjoy the amazing music of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony. It is a symphony, which conveys the composer’s memories about the serene and peaceful life in the country. Under Andris Vecumneks’ baton, Liepāja Symphony Orchestra will play music by brothers Mediņš. The programme will feature Prelude “Daina” No. 6 by Jānis Mediņš, as well as Concerto for Violin and Symphony orchestra by Jāzeps Mediņš, which is the first composition of this genre in Latvian music.

The special guest of the concert Eva Bindere is one of the brightest Latvian violinists; an outstanding soloist, sensitive chamber musician, temperamental principal violinist and an excellent pedagogue as well, who received the Great Music Award in 2016 in the category of “The Musician of the Year”.

Tickets to the concert can be purchased in all “Biļešu paradīze” Box Offices and one hour before the concert in the concert venue.
