This will be the first time that the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra performs on the stage of the Ventspils concert hall "Latvija", and also the first time that the Estonian conductor Mihail Gerts, recognized in Europe, conducts a full concert program in Latvia. Vestards Šimkus has performed in the "Latvija" concert hall in 2020 in a non-academic improvisation program, but on the evening of December 17, he will perform there for the first time in a classical repertoire.
The three selected compositions are united by a bright joy of life - it permeates each of these compositions, allowing us to calmly reflect on the small happiness of life in the pre-holiday atmosphere.
